Steven Kravitz

Steven Kravitz, MSH, PAC, grew up in Pittston, PA, and moved to Spring Brook Township with his wife and five children. He completed his Bachelor's and Master's of Science degrees at Lock Haven University, specializing in Rural Services. Steven brings an extensive Internal Medicine background, combined with additional cardiology experience to Medicus Urgent Care.

Patricia Sweeney, PhD, CRNP, FNP-BC


Patricia Sweeney PhD, CRNP, FNP-BC was born and raised in NEPA and has been a Nurse Practitioner and Nursing Educator for the past 30 years. She attended Wilkes University for her degree in nursing, SUNY-Binghamton for her master's degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner and received her PhD in nursing from Penn State University. Dr. Sweeney teaches full time in the nursing program at Wilkes University. Her clinical experience includes primary care with a focus in emergency and urgent care for the past 20 years. Dr. Sweeney is married with two grown children and is a proud grandmother on one. The thing she likes most about Medicus: “Working with a great staff and being able to provide care to patients in the community where I've lived my entire life.”

Dr. Mark Albert

Dr. Mark Albert is a native of Wilkes-Barre. After college at Bucknell, he graduated from medical school at St. Georges, Granada, then completed his residency in Brooklyn New York. He has spent the last thirty years practicing emergency medicine and urgent care medicine in Northeastern PA. When he's not working, he enjoys golfing and spending time in the gym. He lives in Dunmore with his wife and three children. The thing he likes most about Medicus is the friendly people.

Dr. Donna Eget

Dr. Donna Eget grew up along the banks of the Susquehanna River in West Nanticoke, PA. She graduated from Bishop Hoban High School in Wilkes-Barre, then headed north to the University of Scranton for college, South to Philly for medical school (Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine), East to Newark, NJ for residency (Beth Israel), then circled back to Northeast PA. After 10 years of emergency medicine, she opened Medicus in 2009 and has been working here since. She enjoys gardening, golf, writing fiction and spending time with her family. She lives in Clarks Summit with her partner and their twin boys. The thing she likes most about Medicus: Happy staff and happy patients.

Ellen Shiffer, PA-C

After attending Shippensburg University on a full scholarship, Mrs. Shiffer moved to Philadelphia where she completed her masters degree in PA Studies at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her clinical experience includes trauma surgery, dermatology and sixteen years of emergency medicine and urgent care. She is married with three beautiful daughters.
